Puyang Acrobatic Art School was established in 1991. It is a comprehensive full-time secondary professional art school in Henan Province with acrobatics as the major subject, approved by the provincial government and filed by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education. It is one of the four acrobatic secondary technical schools in China with a large scale and a good source of students. Bian Faji, vice chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and chairman of the China Acrobats Association, is the honorary principal of the school. At present, there are four majors, acrobatics, opera, music and dance, with a schooling period of 3-6 years and nearly 1000 students. Covering an area of 454 mu, with a total construction area of 120000 square meters, a total investment of 600 million yuan, the school has 140 people, including 23 senior professional titles, 29 intermediate professional titles, 14 national level members, 28 provincial level members, 2 experts enjoying special government subsidies, 1 national "May Day" labor medal winner, 1 national advanced literary and artistic worker, 1 Chinese acrobatics "Lifelong Achievement Award", and many national "virtue and artistry" artists and labor models. It has been awarded the honorary titles of "Henan Intangible Cultural Heritage Social Heritage Base", "Henan Acrobatic Art Education Base", "National Vocational Education Management Innovation School", "China Education Innovation Demonstration Unit", "National Acrobatic Education Training Demonstration Base", etc.

The school has participated in many domestic and international large-scale competitions and performances, and won more than 200 awards in international and domestic large-scale competitions, including 18 international awards, 26 national awards, and many provincial and municipal awards. The program "Spring Light of Lion Forest", "Double layer Wobble Board", "Women's Row Chairs", "High Chairs", "Plateau Fairy Tales - Wheelbarrow Skills", etc. have successively participated in international competitions such as the Paris International Competition in France, the Latina International Acrobatic Festival in Italy, the Tokyo International Youth Acrobatic Competition in Japan, the Wuqiao International Acrobatic Festival in China, and the Wuhan International Acrobatic Festival, and won many presidential awards, government awards, gold, silver, bronze awards, etc. The performances have covered more than 50 countries, including the United States, Britain, France and Germany. Dozens of heads of state and politicians, including former Secretary General Kofi Annan of the United Nations and former President Bush of the United States, have watched the school performances. The school programs also appeared in large national, provincial and municipal parties for many times, and successively participated in the 2001 Shanghai APEC Conference, the closing ceremony of the 9th National Games, the closing ceremony of Hangzhou West Lake International Expo, and the 2002 Spring Festival Gala of the Ministry of Culture. Dream Chasing - High Chair, Plateau Fairy Tale Wheelbarrow Technique and other programs have appeared on CCTV 9 times in 2011. The school has also undertaken the foreign aid teaching task of 20 Sudanese students. The students are all over the domestic acrobatic groups, and it is a famous cradle of acrobatic talents at home and abroad.
